DESCRIPTION OF THE SPANISH
PROGRAM AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE-ELE

The ELEX research group offers foreigners learning the Spanish language at the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia. This learning is led by research professors and students in training of the ELEX group of the Language School of the UPTC.

The program is aimed at foreign citizens who want to learn Spanish or improve their language level. The courses seek for the learners to develop the basic skills of understanding and production: speaking, understanding, reading and writing.

The methodology is oriented to the development of intercultural communicative competence, enriched by the vision of the world and culture that meets the demand of the global village. This allows efficient communication in cultural contexts and activities such as visits to the Historic Center of Tunja (capital of the department of Boyacá), entrance to museums, participation in cultural events, visits to different towns such as Villa de Leyva, Ráquira, Nobsa and Paipa.
